Explore, Create, Celebrate - Egin Conwy Outdoor Learning Wales

Type of Event: Storytelling Performance

(English) Explore, Create, Celebrate is an event to showcase and celebrate the nature inspired creativity of a group of older people from the Colwyn Bay area engaged in a project with the Community Wellbeing Team and the Conwy Outdoor Learning Network.

Working with a local story teller and forest school leader, a trail has been developed around a woodland site dotted with hand crafted chairs made by the project participants from which they will be sharing stories and poems that they have created to excite and inspire others to seek enjoyment from the outdoors.

The event is taking place in a working woodland with unsurfaced forestry tracks. Visitors to the event will need to wear suitable footwear and clothing for the outdoors. There are no indoor facilities. In the event of wet weather, a large tarpaulin shelter will be erected over the main fire area with adequate coverage for guests. There is a compost toilet in the woodland.

Two sessions: 1 - 3pm and 5 - 7pm. FREE but advance booking is essential. Hot and cold drinks and refreshments will also be provided around the camp fire.

When people book, they will be sent details about finding the woodland, information about parking and access.

The event is being coordinated by the Conwy Community Wellbeing Team and GD Informal Education / Nant y Glyn Forest School on behalf of the Egin Conwy Outdoor Learning Network.
