Paint Pals - Canolfan Ni Corwen

The PAINT PALS art project is an intergenerational project involving with children from the local primary school Ysgol Caer Drewyn and members of Memory Lane, the Friendship Club based at Canolfan Ni.

The children and adults will be paired to become paint pals and will correspond by postcard, each one writing on a blank card and illustrating the other side with their paintings and drawings. They will do this throughout the month of May, and we will deliver them back and forth to each group.

The project will also include a colouring swap session in which both the adults and selected children from years 1, 2 & 3 will create line drawings that will be swapped with the other group and coloured in.

The postcards and drawings will be exhibited at the end of May at Canolfan Ni. All participants, their families and caregivers invited to a special celebratory pop-up exhibition.

18th April - Alziemers Society ‘Dementia Awarness” talk to pupils (year 1 to 6) at Ysgol Caer Drewyn .

19th April – Paint Pals session at Canolfan Ni with friendship group.

25th April – Paint Pals session at Ysgol Caer Drewyn.

May 3rd - Paint Pals session at Canolfan Ni with friendship group.

12th May - Paint Pals session at Ysgol Caer Drewyn.

17th May – All participants to be invited to a pop-up exhibition at Canolfan Ni of all the work created during Paint Pals project.
