We’re thrilled and humbled to share the news that Men’s Sheds Cymru and Gwanwyn Festival won an Epic Award at Cardiff Castle on Saturday night for the project Pimp My Uke. There were so many great projects on the shortlist that we still can’t really take it in.
Gwanwyn Festival Coordinator Emma Robinson had this to say:
‘We’re delighted to share this award with our friends at Men’s Sheds Cymru, we’re so chuffed to have won. It was an inspirational evening and a real joy to share and meet with the other projects from across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The Shedders are now taking the brave step from ukuleles to Appalachian Mountain Dulcimers (naturally!) and we’re working on a Men’s Shed version of an Eisteddofod for later this year. So watch this space!’
