Gwanwyn operates a Community Grant Scheme to assist organisations that wish to participate in the festival.
We are keen to include as many different kinds of cultural and community organisations as possible and participating organisations have ranged from theatre venues and museums to care homes and community centres.
Organisers contribute anything you can think of – painting, photography, theatre, dance, creative writing, film, storytelling, workshops, performances, exhibitions, networking events, discussions and much more.
Our application process opens around the start of October each year for the following year’s festival. If you would like to take part in the festival in 2017 you need to apply in October 2016.
Successful recipients are notified in January each year to deliver their event or series of events during the festival in May. Grants of up to £500 are available.
You can find out more information by downloading our information pack (available from October 2016) or get in touch to share your ideas now.
Gwanwyn also supports cultural or community organisations looking to improve their arts and creative offer for older people throughout the year and is interested to speak to organisations (both professional and voluntary) who are interested in exploring creative ageing and celebrating creativity in older age.
Please get in touch to find out ways in which Gwanwyn can help.
